Pastoral Accountability
This policy is a concise summation of what the church expects of its pastors, and often includes a signed covenant. It touches on topics such as dealing with a personal crisis, keeping a healthy personal spiritual life, controlling debt, maintaining congregants’ confidentialities, and more.
Pastoral and Support Staff Classifications
Most churches have distinct policies for their ministers that differ from those for office staff. It could include differing benefits, work responsibilities, and attendance expectations.

These are clear policies on how staff should be serving and protecting the children and youth of your congregation.

Many churches offer opportunities for their staff to go on spiritual retreats, short-term mission trips, or spend time assisting another ministry in the community. These policies help to set up what is paid/ not paid, and how to go about requesting such a leave.
